An overview of Harbin in Heilongjiang province opened at the Beijing Book Building on Tuesday.
Through a combination of visuals and texts, the exhibition explores the development of the city's ice and snow culture and tourism, and highlights its efforts to train outstanding athletes, particularly in winter sports.
Since December, tourism in northeastern China has been experiencing great success, especially Harbin, which is sometimes referred to as "Ice City". The city's appeal as a travel destination has contributed significantly to the rising popularity of other cities in the region.
The exhibition seeks to elevate tourism development in the city, and promote continuous growth and advancement in the winter sports and tourism sector. The exhibition runs until Saturday.
